Actress Carrie Fisher has unfortunately recently passed away. Best known for playing her character Princess Leia in the Star Wars Franchise, she was a sci-fi icon.
She suffered a cardiac arrest onboard a flight from London to Los Angles and was rushed to the hospital. A few days later she died.
Carrie Fisher was a style icon within the world of science fiction. As a tribute to the science fiction legend I have looked back to show you her style and grace
As a character, Princess Leia had some brilliant costumes and her hairstyles have become iconic.
Star Wars : A New Hope (Episode 4)
If you are ever lucky enough to go to a science fiction convention like comic con etc. then I can guarantee there a two outfits that people will who are dressed as Princess Leia will be dressed as the iconic two buns on the side of the head and long high-necked dress (the other being the gold bikini). Which she can be seen wearing in Star Wars a new hope. We were introduced to this character in this film and we fell in love with her. She was a princess but she was a badass princess. She looked like a stereotypical damsel in distress but she knew how to defend herself either with her sharp quick wit or shooting a blaster at the enemy.
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (Episode 5)
Princess Leia had won adoring fans with the first instalment of the Star Wars saga and now with the second movie in the franchise she had a high bar to reach and she did not disappoint. Carrie Fisher brought a sassiness and confidence which made her a power house and she had a feminine charm and style. She was a modern-day women and people loved it.
Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi (Episode 6)
The Star Wars franchise had won over fans from all over the world and everybody wanted to see Luke Skywalker take on the darkside. This has Carrie Fishers most iconic costume out of the entire trilogy. The gold bikini has become part of geek lore and still sends hearts racing and libido twitching.
Carrie Fisher just wasn’t just for the sex appeal (we also has Harrison Ford for that). She was a strong, smart and an all around badass. I have always loved this character and how Carrie Fisher portrayed her.
She will be a big loss to the world and will be greatly missed.
