Paris Fashion week…..So far

The week Paris fashion week has been taking over the fashion world. The big designers, the creme de la creme have been showing of their designs. Hoping to attract the media attention of the world and hoping their designs become the hot ticket this Autumn.

I won’t give you detail on all designers because me and you would be here forever and you would get bored very quickly. So I will give you the highlights of the top designers.

Black was the colour for this Catwalk. The pieces were tailored showing of model figure well. The pieces were cut with a geometric pattern. I loved this show. The outfits were so funky you could se a british punk rock element to it (Not sure if that was intentional at all but thats my opinion). A high leg slit in the skirts and dresses was a prominent feature throughout this show. In a few of pieces there were pieces of fabric cut our of the pattern which created a layered look, which I loved. Leather was a common fabric in this show from a short (and I mean short) to a panel win a jacket.

Rochas

A floral print was seen throughout this show and pastel colours was prominent as well. Looking at this collection I have one opinion about this collection BIG, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL. The coats were oversized, there were big bows, big long skirts and bold colours. The oversized coats were cut to create a straight up and down silhouette and with them in either a bold colour or a bold print. The dresses were tailored well and were made from a bold fabric. Quite a few transparent fabrics could be seen throughout the show.

Chloé

When you look at this collection you will see a Bohemian style to it. With the maxi dresses and floral print. The collection is loose fitting and brightly coloured. The maxi dresses  are cut elegantly for the bodice and then goes into a large full skirt that drags across the catwalk. Not all the dress a maxi-dresses there are short loose fitting dresses in bold colours. They have a high neck line and a short hem. Denim was a common theme throughout some of the pieces with double denim being scene walking down the catwalk. With Maxi-trousers and a loose fitting shirt. With both pieces fringed at the hem.

Christian Dior

The Christian Dior collection was classically simple. The pieces have a classic silhouette but hints of a modern fashion style. Black and White can be seen through out this collection. The hem lines were short on majority of the pieces and a POP of colour in a handful of the pieces.  Sheer fabric was used on quite a few of the pieces, being used as a sort of cover over the main outfit.
